Evidence management for Defence, Corrections & Law enforcement

Every recording. Every action. Accounted for.

LUCI is an on-premises evidence management appliance. It brings in calls, interviews, CCTV and body-worn footage, makes them searchable, and keeps an unbroken chain of custody from the moment evidence arrives to the day it is disposed of.

  • Runs inside your network
  • Vendor-agnostic ingest
  • GPU-accelerated transcription
  • Brisbane built & supported
Why LUCI

Evidence integrity isn't an add-on. It's the product.

In LUCI, chain of custody, protected originals and retention aren't optional modules or premium tiers. They're in every licence, because they're the reason the platform exists.

01

Unbroken chain of custody

Ingest, processing, case linking, playback and every share are written to a custody record that the application can only add to. No user can edit or delete an entry, LUCI administrators included.

02

Originals stay original

The file you received is set read-only and kept apart from the playback copies and transcripts made from it. Every analysis is traceable back to the untouched original.

03

Tamper-evident from day one

A SHA-256 fingerprint is taken the instant a file arrives and written into its custody record, so you can always show that what you present is what you collected.

04

Retention by dataset

Phone calls, interviews and CCTV don't share a retention rule, so LUCI doesn't make them. Set a period per dataset, extend it per case, and keep a permanent record of every disposal.

Chain of custody

Who touched it, when, and what they did. Answered in seconds.

Every evidence item carries its own custody timeline. LUCI writes it automatically as evidence moves through ingest, processing and review, so investigators don't have to remember to.

  • Append-only by design. The database rejects any attempt to change or remove a custody or audit record.
  • Fingerprinted on arrival. The SHA-256 hash is captured before anything else happens to the file.
  • System actions included. Automated steps such as transcoding and transcription are recorded alongside human actions.
  • Searches and shares audited. Every search, share, revocation and external access is logged.

Retention & disposal

Keep what the law requires. Dispose of the rest, on the record.

Holding everything forever is a risk, not a strategy. LUCI applies retention per dataset, so each type of evidence follows its own legislative or policy requirement.

  • Retention period per dataset, applied automatically to every file it ingests.
  • Case-level holds extend retention for evidence linked to a matter, for a set number of years or indefinitely. A case hold can extend retention but never shorten it.
  • Scheduled disposal archives or removes expired evidence according to each dataset's disposal policy.
  • A permanent disposal register that, like the custody record, cannot be edited or deleted.
Clear expectations

What LUCI is, and what it isn't.

We'd rather you know exactly what you're buying. Here's where LUCI fits.

LUCI is

  • An appliance you own. Purpose-built servers in your rack, running inside your network, under your control.
  • Vendor-agnostic. One evidence store for call recordings, interview rooms, body-worn video, CCTV exports and file shares, whatever produced them.
  • Built for audio and video evidence at volume. GPU-accelerated transcription and search across thousands of hours of recordings.
  • Delivered end to end. One team for hardware, installation, migration and support.

LUCI isn't

  • A cloud subscription. Your evidence stays on your premises, and LUCI's core functions don't depend on any public cloud service.
  • An eDiscovery platform. It's built for evidence custody and investigation, not legal document review, so you don't pay for features you won't use.
  • Tied to a camera vendor. You don't need to buy anyone's devices to use it, and switching devices won't strand your evidence.
  • A file share with a search box. Custody, retention and access control are built into the platform, not left to folder permissions.
The platform

From raw recording to case-ready evidence.

LUCI brings evidence in from the systems you already run, makes every word searchable, and puts the right material in front of the right people.

Connect existing sources

Scheduled ingest from SMB file shares, S3 and Azure Blob storage, SharePoint Online, Axon Evidence.com, Cisco Webex and Pexip, plus secure manual upload.

Transcription on your hardware

Speech-to-text runs on the appliance's own NVIDIA GPU. Low-confidence passages are flagged for human review rather than silently trusted.

Translation to English

Recordings in other languages can be translated to English as part of the pipeline, enabled per data source.

Search every word

Full-text search across transcripts and metadata, filtered to the datasets each user is permitted to see.

Watchlists & risk flags

Keyword watchlists match new transcripts automatically, and a built-in coercive-control lexicon surfaces concerning call patterns between people for analyst review.

Subjects & timelines

Track people across sources and see their activity on a single timeline, with subject IDs extracted automatically from source metadata.

Controlled external sharing

Time-limited shares protected by a one-time code, revocable at any time, and recorded in the evidence's custody record.

Your identity, your rules

Single sign-on with Entra ID or Okta, role-based access scoped to each dataset, and a dedicated auditor role.

Inside LUCI

Built for investigators, not just administrators.

Cases, evidence and search in one clean workspace, with custody, retention and watchlist hits where the work happens.

Who it's for

Built for organisations where evidence has consequences.

Defence

Investigation and security evidence that must stay on networks you control, with access separated by dataset and every action recorded.

  • Fully on-premises, sovereign deployment
  • Dataset-level access segregation
  • Auditor role for oversight bodies

Corrections

Telephone and video calls at a volume no team can listen to in full: transcribed, searchable and flagged for review, alongside interviews, CCTV and incident footage.

  • Bulk ingest from telephony platforms
  • Watchlists and coercive-control risk flags
  • Retention aligned to each record class

Law enforcement

Body-worn video, interview recordings and CCTV in one place, whichever vendor's devices captured them.

  • Axon Evidence.com and file-share ingest
  • Case linking with retention holds
  • Controlled sharing with prosecutors

Delivery & support

One team, from delivery to day-to-day support.

We don't ship you a box and a manual. Our engineers deliver, install and configure LUCI on site, and stay with you after go-live.

  1. Scope

We work through your evidence sources, volumes, retention obligations and identity setup, and size the hardware and storage to fit.

    Before order
  2. Install

Hardware is delivered to your site and our engineers rack, deploy and configure LUCI, connected to your sign-in and evidence sources.

    About one week
  3. Migrate (optional)

Bring evidence across from legacy systems, file shares, SharePoint Online or blob storage, with metadata mapped and custody starting at ingest.

    Several weeks, by volume
  4. Support & evolve

Business-hours support by ticket and video call, with on-site visits when an issue needs hands on the hardware.

    Ongoing

Quarterly releases

A new minor version every quarter. Features requested by customers and features we develop ourselves go to every customer.

Security fixes, prioritised

Security fixes aren't held for the quarterly release. We ship them as soon as they're ready.

Updates you approve

You choose when each update is installed, and can try it on your own test server first. Updates are signed, the database is backed up before they run, and a failed update rolls back automatically.

Licensing

Buy it outright, or subscribe.

Both models include every feature: chain of custody, retention and disposal are never sold separately. The choice is about how you fund it.

Annual subscription

Suits operating budgets
  • Software licence, updates and support in one yearly fee
  • Every quarterly release and security fix included
  • Lower upfront cost

Perpetual + annual support

Suits capital budgets
  • Own your software licence outright
  • Yearly software support for updates, releases and help
  • Evidence stays accessible even if support lapses

A test server is part of your licence

Both models entitle you to run a non-production LUCI instance on your own virtualisation platform or hardware. Use it to train staff, trial new pipelines and integrations, and test each update before it reaches production.

Hardware support is separate under both models. Extended warranty and hardware support are provided with our hardware partner, Lenovo. Implementation is a one-time service, and data migration is quoted to your environment.
ISO/IEC 27001 certified

Built and supported by an ISO/IEC 27001-certified organisation. Everything Information is also working towards ISO/IEC 42001 certification for AI management systems.
